Today’s run: 3.2 miles, 37 minutes. YT: 78.4 miles. New definition of determination: The look on the face of the tubby old Chinese lady in Capri pants and sports flip-flops with socks who comes down Grand View daily in a waddling jog. I love her.

I think #2 and #28 are connected….
Nah… it’s all in the head. Or the heart.
Countless opportunities to prove to yourself that your capable of way more than you think you are.
#31– You mean you’ve been inventing these stories?
Ha – no – all of my descriptions are exactly accurate. I haven’t shared any of the invented stories. :-) But let me tell you… elderly Chinese lady has a wild life!
Afternoon naps after a long run.
Calf envy from surfer boys.
Learning you can fly.
Similar to #31, but – Eye Candy! Getting to see other hot peeps working out along your route. (such as – one day while running in Griffith Park I passed a shirtless man riding a horse. priceless!)
Kristen – funny – I almost made “sexy butt” “sexy butt (of the person running in front of you)”
:-)
I said this before in answer to another question here, but getting to work and seeing your coworkers and knowing that you expended more energy before they woke up that morning than they will all week. Kind of goes along with 13 and 14, I guess.
Also, if you have not been a runner, and have led a non-active lifestyle, running can allow you to redefine and even reinvent yourself. It’s like being born again.
Counting the above, still need 7 more to make it to 50!
Impress my kids.
I want to earn a bumper sticker that says “26.2″ on it.
